How it Works
Energy Plan Auditing & Brokerage
Our energy plan auditing and brokerage service operates much like a mortgage broker for your power bills, providing a data-driven path to lower costs for residential homes, solar-and-battery households, and small businesses alike. The process begins with a personal consultation to discuss your current energy habits, any upcoming changes—such as installing an EV charger or shifting to electric heating—and your specific goals. To ensure an accurate assessment, providing your historic bills is required. While not mandatory, providing your smart meter data allows us to run a more granular review, comparing various retailer plans against your actual consumption patterns to find the genuine cheapest option.
We offer two pathways for this service: if you choose from our panel of partner retailers where we receive a commission, the service is entirely free of charge. If you prefer a completely independent audit of the broader market, a $100 fee is payable; however, this is fully refunded if you ultimately select a plan from a provider that pays a commission. To ensure you stay on the best rate as the market fluctuates, we can revisit your audit as required to capture new savings as prices and your energy needs change.
Precision Usage Diagnostics
Our Precision Usage Diagnostics service offers a high-resolution "health check" for your home or business energy consumption, providing a level of detail that standard bills simply cannot match. The process involves the non-invasive deployment of smart sensors and plugs—no electrician or switchboard modifications required—to capture top-down energy use and isolate specific high-drain circuits like hot water, air conditioning, and ovens. Using a central base to securely relay this data to the cloud, we remotely analyse your consumption in the context of your daily habits and future goals. A critical focus of this analysis is identifying vampire loads—those "phantom" energy draws from appliances like TVs, chargers, and microwaves that remain in standby mode. These hidden consumers can quietly represent 3% to 10% of your total energy bill, and pinpointing them is one of the fastest ways to see immediate savings.
Beyond just monitoring, we provide practical solutions for smarter energy management, particularly for heating and cooling, which often represent the largest portion of a bill at around 40%. We can implement tools like IR blasters with temperature sensors to modernise the efficiency of older air conditioning units, ensuring they aren't overworking as their internal sensors depreciate over time. This deep dive allows us to review the efficiency of your current appliances, providing a clear Return on Investment (ROI) analysis for potential replacements. The sensors are loaned as part of this service, with a replacement charge applicable for any damage, and the timeframe for analysis is tailored to your specific needs. As a quoted service, we can also offer the option to purchase the sensors for your ongoing use after the audit is complete. Whether your goal is optimising current usage or preparing for a future solar and battery installation, this diagnostic provides the data-driven foundation you need to make informed decisions
Independent Solar & Storage Feasibility
Our Independent Solar and Storage Feasibility service provides an unbiased assessment of whether new technology is the right investment for you. Using your historic bill data, we model your unique "load profile" to calculate a genuine Return on Investment (ROI) across various system sizes.
Sizing for Success: Solar typically pays back in 3–5 years, while batteries currently range from 6–10 years. We find your "sweet spot" based on your specific goals—whether you want to simply cover your own usage for independence or maximise a larger system to have excess energy for sale back to the grid.
VPP Advantage: We analyse how pairing your system with a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) or battery-optimised retail plan can provide a better "bang for buck" through sign-up bonuses and grid-support credits.
The Best First Step: Sometimes, solar and batteries aren't the answer. We may find that shifting your usage to the daytime or eliminating "vampire loads" is more effective than a high-cost install.
Please note: Our service focuses on financial modelling and strategic planning; we do not provide technical installation advice, structural assessments, or electrical engineering specifications. We don't sell hardware; we provide the data to help you decide whether to invest in generation or simply optimise your consumption.
Standard Desktop Report: $150 - Using historic bills to model ROI, VPP benefits, and "sweet spot" sizing.
Premium Data-Backed Report: $450 -This combines 2 weeks of Precision Usage Diagnostics with the solar report.
VPP Integration & Rebate Management
Our Integration and Rebate Management service takes the administrative headache out of maximising your savings. We focus on securing all available solar and battery incentives, such as the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS).
Rebate Claims & VPPs: We handle the end-to-end process—from compiling documents and registering with Accredited Certificate Providers to helping you pick and join the right Virtual Power Plant (VPP). For upfront PDRS or equivalent claims, our fee is a straightforward 15% of the rebate amount.
Technical Support: If your installer or retailer has moved on, we step in. We provide hands-on help with inverter, battery, and retailer app setups, and troubleshoot software issues to ensure your system is actually communicating and performing as promised. Where you have engaged us for another service, this support is free. If there is a specific issue you need assistance with it will be approx. $20 per issue.
We bridge the gap between your hardware and the incentives available, ensuring your system is fully subsidised and correctly configured.
